Of course, I would like for all Moore County School facilities needs to have been paid for in full years ago. Didn’t happen. It remains our responsibility as a community to educate kids. Great public schools drive the economy and well-being of a county. No more fancy decor or expensive junkets on MCS dollars, but buildings are needed now.
This initial building plan really bridges the gap of fiscal responsibility and desperately needed spending. Everyone in Moore can get behind the proposed 1/4 cent “school tax”. The county commissioners are watching the totals, the board of education will squeeze every drop out of the funds, and we citizens of Moore are holding them accountable on both sides to get it done right and right now for our kids. ~ Karin Kent
