Happy New Year from Parents For Moore! There are many exciting things to come this year for Moore County Schools and with your advocacy and engagement, the sky is the limit.

If you have attended one of our previous community budget talks, thank you! I aim to post the latest version of the slides used (12-12-2016_mcs-budget-presentation-for-parents_community  ) with occasional updates.  If the version you saw presented is not listed and you’d like to see it specifically, please feel free to contact me. Our goal has been to refine the info presented based on your feedback, but without posting too many confusing versions.

New info and calls to action will appear here as the weeks of 2017 tick by, so please check back often.  For now, please educate yourself and others on the facts of the school, county and state funding processes.  Many budget discussions have been archived at the Moore County Schools Board of education website (click “agenda” to see topics, “video” to watch http://www.ncmcs.org/BoESchedule).  The County Commissioners meeting video link is similar (https://www.moorecountync.gov/board-of-commissioners/meetings) .

We have so much to be grateful for in Moore County Schools, so let’s work together to keep it growing stronger in 2017 and for years to come.
